Characterization of Genetic Diversity
Techniques Employed - Field and Laboratory
The technique applied for the Characterization of Genetic Diversity of IFF-SC was the isoenzyme electrophoresis. For each species chosen will be evaluated against at least three populations for each micro-region of occurrence.
First place is the collection of leaves in the field of approximately 50 individuals per species per site.
These sheets are packed in thermal containers with ice and taken to the laboratory where they are refrigerated until the time of genetic characterization.
Genetic characterization is obtained by interpreteação the results obtained by isoenzyme electrophoresis.
From the data obtained are calculated for diversity and genetic structure.
